Java EE Applications Learning Trail

What Is a Java EE Application?

Like standard web applications, Java Enterprise EditionTM (Java EE) applications are deployed to servers and often accessed through a web browser. Java EE applications offer a much richer set of functionality, from web services to Enterprise JavaBeansTM technology. Java EE applications are deployed to a Java EE application server, such as GlassFish / Sun Java System Application Server.

This page provides links to some of the NetBeans documents and resources that can help you learn about Java EE technology and developing Java EE applications with NetBeans IDE 6.0.
